A semi-off-the-cuff discussion about how the discovermagazine.com site was built. This is a magazine site with high traffic and high availability. Joel will talk about the architecture, caching, authentication structure, server setup, and other considerations that went into making the site.
AGENDA
Speaker:Joel Burton
We have an offer from Joel Burton, who will be in Seattle, for a semi-off-the-cuff discussion about how the discovermagazine.com site was built. This is a magazine site with high traffic and high availability. Joel will talk about the architecture, caching, authentication structure, server setup, and other considerations that went into making the site.
The goal is to share knowledge and spark discussion about how to meet the requirements of traditional publishing sites and time allowing folks from ONE/Northwest and/or Web Collective may also talk about the architecture of the recently launched Sightline Daily, which is another publishing-centric Plone-based site.
This meeting will be hosted at ONE/Northwest downtown, NOT at our regular meeting location at NPower Seattle.
