Duties and responsibilities:
  • Under the general direction of the Communications Manager, coordinate day-to-day management of Hopelink’s website to include content development and maintenance. Participate in the planning, development and implementation of website content and architecture. Write, edit and proof Web content and provide quality assurance for the website. Monitor website and suggest changes/updates as appropriate. Work with internal staff to gather information and develop content for their representation on the agency website.
  • Maintain Hopelink communications archives, including press clippings, photo archives, and other image assets.
  • Coordinate display, materials, and logistics related to Hopelink’s presence at community outreach events. Supports special events needs.
  • Serve as key contact person and liaison with other departments, staff, other agencies, and the community; coordinates dissemination of information (brochures, flyers, agency publications and materials) as appropriate. Inventory and maintain supplies of agency publications and materials.
  • Coordinate and manage statistical database information tracking Hopelink trends and services. Compile and track regional and national trends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Provide support to Development and Communications areas as needed.

Qualifications*:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related technical field helpful.
  • Prior experience overseeing the production/maintenance of a professional Website for a commercial or non-profit agency. Proficient to expert understanding of HTML. Ability to post to and from an FTP site and ability to understand and edit style sheets. Must be able to build a website based from a style sheet.
  • Experience with a range of software programs such as Photoshop and FrontPage
  • Experience administering a content management system, Plone/Zope technologies preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of individuals.
  • Must be a self-starter, independent thinker and have the ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to work under deadline on multiple tasks requiring consistent accuracy.
